I recently had the pleasure of working with Raptor Electrical for my patio renovation project. After researching several electrician companies online, I decided to reach out to Raptor based on their positive reviews. They did not disappoint!
From the initial phone call with Luis, one of the owners, to the completion of the project, the entire experience was exceptional. Here are the highlights:
Engaging and Thorough: Luis asked detailed questions to understand the scope of work. His probing approach ensured that the desired project outcome was achievable.
Clear Process: Luis explained their process, leaving no room for confusion. He even proposed a site visit the next day to assess the project requirements and finalize the plan, including pricing.
Smooth Execution: We agreed on everything, from the schedule to the specifics of the job. As someone with 30 years of experience as a global program manager, I can confidently say that the project couldn’t have gone any smoother.
Professional Team: Luis’ brother Alejandro (also a co-owner) and the Raptor team arrived promptly on the scheduled day. They installed two outdoor fans (65 and 55 inches) along with new approved GFCI plugs, custom wiring and outdoor light switches. Plus, they installed new exterior lighting that instantly transformed the home look. The attention to detail was impressive.
Constant Communication: Alejandro checked in with me at every key project step. This level of communication ensured that we stayed aligned with the planned outcome.
Final Touch: At the end of the job, they walked me through everything they had done to make sure everything was as expected. And they cleaned up thoroughly, taking away all project-related trash.
I’m really happy when I can find a company I can trust, especially when it comes to electrical work that can be a safety issue if done wrong. I’ve used Raptor Electric and GC three times so far over the last few years – first, a few years ago to help run an electrical connection to a new HVAC minisplit, and in 2024 for a master bathroom repair and renovation, as well as an exterior window trim replacement. For anyone who has ever had a fairly involved bathroom repair and remodel, the process can have twists and turns when “surprises” are discovered from problematic prior construction. Communication and a trustworthy relationship with your contractor are critical in such situations – both towards fixing such problems, but also in helping you as the client understand the ‘why’, the and their costs of all options, to arrive at an amicable solution.
Luis, Alejandro and the Raptor team care about keeping the customer informed, manage expectations, and produce beautiful results. For all projects small and large, Raptor’s workers arrived on time, met and at times exceeded expectations, completed work within the anticipated timeline, and performed high quality work. I was also able to test their warranty from their completed work, which met my expectations towards making fixes (we had holes in our grout after curing, and Raptor scheduled a few weeks later to make the successful fix). Finally, Raptor’s pricing and bids in my experience were reasonable and in line with the market, especially in the context of the tremendous inflation we have all experienced in the last few years – they need to make ends meet too and business costs have risen. You can certainly skimp by finding a cheap contractor out there but expect the unexpected. In my view, spending a little more with Raptor is worth the piece of mind (and they also carry liability insurance – for further piece of mind!).

Trust is so important when it comes to electrical issues and Alejandro has mine. He spent tons of extra time looking into the (highly complex) issue, and found a solve for an honest price. Highly recommend!

Nothing but top notch!. Cant say enough. Alejandro was very responsive, quality of work was spot on. They replaced my 30amp breaker to a 40amp to accommodate my new double over. Ran new wire through the attic. Showed me everything he did. I will not call anyone else for my electrical work. I appreciate all you do! Will recommend to anyone asking me about an election.

Raptor has done several jobs for me: install EV charging station, replace Clothes Dryer outlet, install GFI protection for Garbage Disposal and Dish Washer, plus move and replace dining room light. Always easy to work with and quality job.
I especially recommend them for lighting because they are one of the few contractors who can both move/install lighting AND patch the ceiling so you can’t tell it has been moved. I attached a picture of the lighting they installed with a closeup of the area where the old light was located (other side of ceiling register).

They installed my EV line in my garage. They came on time, installed it perfectly. The price was great and our electrician was nice, professional and cleaned up everything like new. I highly recommend them to you my neighbors in Austin. Service like the good ole days.

They are the best. They came to the house the same day, told me up front what it would cost, and they fixed my breaker box in one visit. I love how they even checked up on me days after it was done. Very good people running this company!

The Gas company came out and deemed many items out of code so my gas was shut off. Raptor helped get the required permits and install an outlet to our tankless water heater. The were courteous, professional and handled everything. I will use them again when needed for further electrical work and upgrades.

Wow! When Austin Energy came out to replace my electric meter they immediately shut my power off and flagged the meter box as being unsafe. In 2015 ATT UVerse had hit a transformer on my lawn and the meter box had been damaged during Austin Energy’s 7 hours of excavation that went into the night.
I used Yelp, bypassed the sponsored results (sorry, Yelp), and called Ratpor at 11:33 am, based on the consistently positive feedback here.
I sent Luis photos and he worked all day with me as well as with Austin Energy, got the necessary permits, was willing to loan me a generator for the night as it looked like all the work and red tape would stretch till tomorrow. But the guys were great and waited for Austin Energy to wrap up together. When the power came on at 5:28 pm, I was ecstatic and Luis and I were hyped on SMS “I’m so glad for you!” He still has some permit work tomorrow, let me know that he would take care of it as it would likely go smoothly.
I guess this sounds like a recommendation.

Had an amazing experience with Alejandro Rapalo with Raptor Electrical! The entire process of receiving a very timely quote, quick scheduling, arriving over an hour early AND the final charge being $75 less than what I was quoted all deserve a 5- review! Additionally, the attention to detail and the quality of the work was 1st-class! Even though this was a very simple job of removing a simple ceiling fixture in the Dining Room and replacing it with a very simple chandelier, I highly recommend that Raptor Electrical be considered. Kudos for a job very well done across the board!

I called Raptor Electrical about a tripped breaker. I first spoke to Luis, who tried to help me over the phone. The problem wasn’t resolved over the phone, so within a couple of hours, Alejandro came out to the house and fixed the problem, a blown breaker. Raptor’s service is efficient and professional. I highly recommend them.
